Meet Emwoods: The Courage to Build Before You're Ready

ยท3 min read

From an idea inspired in Japan to launching her own business, Emily Ellwood reminds us that successful founders aren't the ones with all the answers, they're the ones who keep taking the next step.

One of my favourite parts of working with founders is celebrating launch day.

Not because everything has gone perfectly.

It never does.

But because I know how much courage it takes to turn an idea into a real business.

This week, Emily Ellwood officially launched Emwoods.

I've had the privilege of watching Em build this business from an idea into a product that's now out in the world.

Like every founder, her journey wasn't built on one big breakthrough.

It was built through hundreds of small decisions.

  • Showing up.
  • Asking questions.
  • Taking feedback.
  • Working through challenges.
  • Continuing to move forward, even when the path wasn't completely clear.

That's what entrepreneurship really looks like.

Launching isn't the finish line

People often think launch day is the end of the journey.

In reality, it's the beginning.

The months of research, product development and preparation are simply what make the launch possible.

Now comes the exciting part.

  • Meeting customers.
  • Receiving feedback.
  • Growing the business.
  • Continuing to learn.

Why Founder Love exists

One of the reasons I started Founder Love is because I don't think we celebrate founders enough.

We see the finished product.

We rarely see the work behind it.

Every launch represents months, sometimes years, of persistence that most people never witness.

That's worth celebrating.

Congratulations, Em

Em, congratulations on launching Emwoods.

Thank you for allowing me to be part of your journey.

I'm incredibly proud of what you've built and can't wait to see where it takes you.

Go and Support Em
